This is Giancoli Answers with Mr. Dychko. Power is torque times angular velocity so we have 265 newton meters times 3350 revolutions per minute converted into radians per second by timesing by 2π radians for every revolution and then times 1 minute for every 60 seconds so that's divide by 60 multiply by 2π in other words. And then convert it into horsepower because it tells us to take out the watts which is what we'll get out of this calculation. And then we'll multiply that by 1 horsepower for every 746 watts and we get 125 horsepower with three significant figures.
