Problem 18
Q

A 22.0-cm-diameter coil consists of 30 turns of circular copper wire 2.6 mm in diameter. A uniform magnetic field, perpendicular to the plane of the coil, changes at a rate of 8.65×103 T/s8.65 \times 10^{-3} \textrm{ T/s}. Determine

  1. the current in the loop, and
  2. the rate at which thermal energy is produced.
A
  1. 0.15 A0.15 \textrm{ A}
  2. 1.5×103 W1.5 \times 10^{-3} \textrm{ W}
